We have designed the groja quiz to give those who take it a result similar - but not identical - to that given by other questionnaires based on Carl Jung's
General Description of the Types.
Although the scores are in the familiar four-letter format, and the quiz measures the same qualities as questionnaires such as the MBTI ®, the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, and the Jung tests at
similarminds.com, it does not necessarily give the same results.
A Few Details
The groja quiz consists of 22 questions for each of the four pairs of opposites, making a total of 88 questions.
That's a lot of questions, and it took quite awhile to think of them!
Each question has a weight ranging from 1 to 5. Questions we have confidence in have higher weights, and experimental, "fun-type" questions have lower weights.
Each question can have from two to six answers, and each answer also has a weight associated with it.
Choosing an answer with a high weight indicates a stronger preference than choosing an answer with a low weight.
Some of the experimental "fun-type" questions have an answer with a weight of 0, allowing the visitor to effectively opt-out of answering the question.
Like all well-written joomla! components, the quiz has a backend that allows us to tweak the text and weights of the questions and answers.
We encourage you to use the checkboxes that are present in the form when the visitor is logged in to give us some feedback. Note however that clicking on a checkbox only registers your opinion of the question - you still have to answer it!
We Respect the Professionals
Respecting the intellectual property rights of those who have written similar questionnaires is extremely important to us here at groja.com.
This made writing the questionnaire challenging, because we want it to give results similar to the other questionnaires without directly using the work of these professionals.
This means that we gave special attention - and higher weights - to terms and personality characteristics appearing in Jung's original work.
Standard/generic questions and those derived from the dictionary or thesaurus also have higher weights.
Sources of the Questions
In an effort to write a quiz that gives an original yet credible result, we obtained the questions from a variety of sources, as the following table shows:

"Standard/Generic" questions are very short and based on common descriptions of the opposite pairs.
We consider these to be very basic and are willing to admit that they might be very similar to those found on any of the questionnaires mentioned previously.
Note that the quiz does not contain an unreasonable number of this type of question, and the use of a few of these should constitute "fair use."
The Bottom Line
We at groja.com seek only to help our visitors visualize the archetypes described by Carl Jung and the others he has inspired.
The groja quiz exists only so that this site is not dependent on other sites.
We have made every effort to write a questionnaire that gives results similar others based on Jung's theories without duplicating those questionnaires.
If you feel the results of the groja quiz are not an accurate assessment of your personality, note that the site contains forms allowing you to input scores from other sources.
If you are new to the idea of Jungian archetypes, we hope that visiting groja.com kindles some interest in them.
We hope that you will take some of the other questionnaires, learn about these basic personality functions, and eventually come to a perception of your uniqueness that is independent of any questionnaire.
If you are already familiar with the idea of Jungian archetypes, we hope that visiting groja.com helps you visualize them, adding to your appreciation of Jung's theories,
and how others such as Myers-Briggs and David Keirsey have expanded on his ideas.
Regardless of which questionnaires you answer and how you score on them, we hope that you take the source of the questionnaire into account when evalutating your results.
